Ages of Episcopal Applicants

The Episcopal School admits children who are at least two years and five months old by August 31 of the entering year. The child must turn 2 years old by March 31 of the application year.

How to Apply

Requests for admissions applications are made by phone on the Wednesday after Labor Day beginning at 8:30 a.m. Upon receipt of the completed application, the School contacts the parents to arrange a tour and a meeting with the Director of Admissions. This visit, which is for parents only, is scheduled in October, November, or December.

The Episcopal School is a member of the School and Student Service (SSS), an organization that provides financial aid analysis for independent schools. In order for the School to determine a family’s need for financial aid, a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) must be submitted to SSS.  Please visit https://sssbynais.org/parents for more information on how to submit a PFS.

Notification of Decision

Letters of decision are mailed towards the end of February, and parents are required to respond by the end of the following week.

The Episcopal School admits students of any race, color, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the School. Episcopal does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, financial aid or other school-administered programs.

How to Schedule a Student Visit

The date for an individual child’s visit is scheduled at the time of the parents’ tour. It is a play session with the Director of Admissions at which the parents and the Director are present. This visit takes place in December, January, or February.
