Special Visitors' Day

A few times a year, children at Episcopal are given the cherished opportunity to bring a special visitor to class with them. These visitors get to experience the joy of being at Episcopal for the day.

Like every day at Episcopal, as children arrive with their guests, they are warmly welcomed into the school with a handshake and greeting from the Director. Together, the child and their special guest head to the classroom to experience daily class activities such as group time, free play, and special crafts. Visitors can be found reading a favorite classroom book to their child in a cozy reading corner, on the rug building block towers and sorting through puzzles, or at a table making art to take home and commemorate the day. Some may enjoy a surprise sing along with one of the specials teachers popping into the classroom during the celebrations.

These treasured memories are captured by parent volunteers from the Photography Committee. A photo of each child and their special visitor gets posted in the entry hallways in the weeks following Special Visitors’ Day to allow children and families time to reflect on the beloved tradition and celebrate the ever-growing Episcopal community.
