The Full Day program incorporates three unique enrichment classes designed to provide additional opportunities for learning and community building. These classes, called EXTRAS, rotate by trimester. EXTRAS provide time for social engagement and skill practice, and the carefully curated curriculum builds communication skills while encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving.

Young Artists

"Young Artists" introduces
children to the world of art.
This is a time to further
enhance fine motor skills
and encourage creativity
through engaging activities,
including painting, papier
mâché, printing, and
weaving. While exploring
materials, children will
focus on projects over
multiple days, developing
confidence and creativity.
Young Artists will create
their own portfolios to be
presented at an Art Show at
the end of the trimester study.

Young Authors

“Young Authors” enhances
children’s literacy - listening,
speaking, reading, and writing
- in developmentally appropriate ways.
Children will explore the wonderful
world of books, with engaging
games and exciting activities,
deepening their love of stories.
While learning about authors
and illustrators, fiction and
non-fiction, children will build
vocabulary, as well as an
understanding of plot, setting,
and characters. Young Authors
will share their own stories in
class-made books at a
celebratory publishing party.

Young Scientists

“Young Scientists” engages
children in hands-on activities
and experiments, guided by
the scientific method as they
build their prediction,
observation, and inference
skills. Children will have time
to explore activities purposefully set-up
with natural materials, inviting
them to wonder and ask
questions about the world
around them. Young Scientists
will learn to record their data
and observations in a “Field
Notebook,” developing and
refining their understanding of
assorted scientific concepts.
